As of 14.00 30-11-2023 balloting was concluded over the tentative agreement where we have had several member meetings for, with an astonishing presence the first couple of member meetings with great interest and questions regarding the agreement.
We confirm a member involvement of 73%, which consists of 58% in favour of the deal and 42% against, with 27% remaining indecisive.
We are proud of the results we have achieved given the fact that within a short period of time, we grew from an unrecognised union to the officially biggest union in Ams base. Especially a groundbreaking first achievement in the easyJet network, we have achieved a pay structure with a future perspective to build upon.
We are greatfull for the commitment of all our members and would like to give out a special thanks to those who took the time to attend our member meetings and take the time to look into the tentative agreement. We also recognize the group who voted against the agreement as we wouldn’t be the union we are without constructive feedback, and like to encourage this group to meet us in the coming year to talk about the current deal and to learn from each other for when we start negotiating in the future!
Soon, the agreement will be signed by our chairman Stijn Jansen and VNC's officials to have the deal go in effect from 01-01-2024 till 31-12-2025. As mentioned in our member meetings, easyJet requires time until March to set up the pay structure and ensure all other financial aspects are in place. For this period, a back pay will be implemented, and we will keep you updated along the process. The big battle is over, but we always remain vigilant and keep working for your betterment as employees.
