Deze cookies gebruiken we om de websites op jouw voorkeur af te stemmen.

The FNV uses functional and analytical cookies that are necessary for the websites to perform as well as possible. These cookies are not aimed at collecting personal data. We also use marketing cookies.

Below are all types of cookies that the FNV can use:

  • Functional cookies: cookies that ensure that FNV websites function properly.
  • Analytical cookies: cookies with which we can measure the use of the website. Information collected with these cookies is combined and aggregated for the purpose of statistical analysis.
  • Tracking cookies: cookies that are aimed at profiling visitors to show personalised content, among other things. This also includes remarketing cookies and social media cookies. Social media cookies are cookies to share some of the content of our website via social media. Social media networks engage in profiling and tracking of visitors.
  • Other cookies: cookies that cannot be placed in one of the other categories.

You can give permission for tracking cookies yourself via the button above.

Below is a detailed explanation of our cookies.

FNV Cookie Statement

This cookie statement applies to all websites provided by the FNV. We will have to adjust these statements from time to time, because it is possible that FNV websites may use other cookies. We therefore recommend that you consult this cookie statement regularly.

The cookie statement was last amended on 31 October 2019.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a file that, when you visit an FNV website with cookies, is stored on the hard drive of your computer via your browser. The information stored therein can be sent back to our servers on a subsequent visit. The purpose of this depends on the type of cookie, such as improving ease of use or sending personalised content.

Functional cookies

FNV websites use functional cookies to ensure that our websites work properly. We use cookies for:

  • remembering information that you enter on the various pages, so that you do not have to enter all your data repeatedly;
  • passing information from one page to the next, for example if a long survey, spread over several pages, is being filled in;
  • reading your browser settings in order to optimally display our website on your screen;
  • offering the option to save login details so that you do not have to re-enter them every time.

Analytical cookies

A cookie is placed from the American company Google via our website, as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to get reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this.

We have set these analytical cookies in a privacy-friendly manner according to the instructions of the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Your privacy is therefore protected as well as possible.

Tracking cookies

Tracking cookies are used to keep track of which pages you visit on fnv.nl in order to build a profile of your online browsing behaviour. This profile is not linked to your name, address, e-mail address, and the like as far as we know, but only serves to tailor the content to you so that it is as relevant to you as possible.

The following tracking cookies are placed by third parties that are enabled by the FNV:

  • Hotjar: the FNV occasionally places a poll or survey on fnv.nl. The cookie ensures that a visitor no longer sees a poll that has already been completed.
  • HubSpot: this cookie registers anonymised visitor data and is used for marketing purposes by the FNV. The aim is to offer visitors relevant content and information about the FNV services as optimally as possible.

Remarketing cookies map a profile of your surfing behaviour on our website. Based on this profile, the FNV can show you personalised advertisements on third-party websites. If you do not accept these cookies, the FNV can also show you advertisements on third-party websites, but these are not personalised.

Social media cookies

The social media cookies that are linked to pages with social media buttons make it possible for users who are logged in to their platform to share the content of our website directly.

For the cookies that the social media parties place and the possible data they collect with them, we refer to the privacy statements of these parties on their own websites. See the links below for this. Please note that these statements may change regularly.

Google+/YouTube

Other cookies

Due to the way the internet and websites work, we may not always have insight into the cookies that are placed by third parties via our website. This is especially the case if our web pages contain “embedded elements”: texts, documents, pictures, or videos that are stored with another party, but that are shown on, in, or via our website.
If you come across cookies on this website that fall under this category and that we have not mentioned above, please let us know. Or contact the third party directly and ask which cookies they placed, what the reason is, what the lifespan of the cookie is, and how they have guaranteed your privacy.

What if I do not agree to the cookies?

No permission is requested for functional and analytical cookies. After all, these cookies are necessary for the website to work and to organise it better. During the first visit to the website, you will be asked for permission to place tracking cookies. You can always change this permission again via the button at the top of this page.
If you do not give permission for tracking cookies, this will not affect how FNV websites function. It is possible that you will see less personal content or none at all. It is also possible that you have to enter the same information more often, e.g. to download a brochure.
